Meet Margaret

I’m a Registered Nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with 15 years of professional experience supporting new families. I know the early days of breastfeeding can feel overwhelming.

Whether you’re dealing with engorgement, bottle-feeding stress, or wondering if your baby is getting enough milk, I’m here for it all.

Feeding your baby should be free from confusion. My goal is to help you let go of the rigid “rules” and help you gain confidence that you know your baby the best.

Located in Missoula, Montana, I offer in-home visits to ensure you get expert help when you need it most. Timely support can make all the difference.

In my previous role, I created and led the Family Maternity Center’s lactation program, achieving breastfeeding rates well above the national standard. I’m excited to continue serving moms and babies in Missoula in this next chapter, through my own private lactation practice.

You may also see me at Community Medical Center, where I work as a night shift postpartum nurse caring for new moms and babies.

  • In my experience, it usually takes more than one visit to really support feeding well. I start with a full assessment and create a plan based your baby’s needs and your goals. Follow-up is important to make sure things are going well, make any adjustments, and give you continued support, hopefully leading to long-term success.

  • Yes! I’m a twin mom. Rates are the same for families with twins.

  • I can’t guarantee exclusive breastfeeding. My goal is to help you understand your feeding options based on your unique baby and your unique milk supply, so you can make informed choices moving forward.

Many times exclusive breastfeeding is possible, and sometimes there are challenges or medical concerns that impact the plan.

I will give you guidance based on your situation and help you find clarity on your feeding journey. We’ll work together whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or combo feeding.
